A unit in our short course got superseded. How do I result the current students?

When a unit has been superseded before it is completed by the student, the RTO should result it as "61 - Superseded subject". That is if the student has started training in the unit. Otherwise (if the student has not commenced training yet) the result should be "Never started - No participation".

There are situations where only a particular unit in a short course becomes superseded affecting current students. In these cases we would recommend the following action:

Transfer the students to the new course ensuring the last step of the transfer is a "Duplicate" as opposed to a "Transfer" as per image below:

The following table contains the two courses and the unit outcomes in a scenario where Unit U3 becomes superseded while the student is undergoing training:
